GROSVENOR WILTON, ONE OF THE UK’S OLDEST AND MOST PRESTIGIOUS INDEPENDENT CARPET MANUFACTURERS, HAS A HERITAGE GOING BACK OVER 200 YEARS
Grosvenor Wilton works with some of the most prestigious names in the UK and abroad, creating exceptional carpets for stately homes, historic palaces, period houses and private residences. Here’s how Jarvis & Hudson helped them launch a new contemporary carpet collection.
Copywriting for Brochures & Website • Project Management • Styling for Photoshoots • Photography • Brand Design • Social Media Management • Press Releases • Website Management • Competitions • Media Buying • Event Organising • Crisis Management
In 2014, Jarvis & Hudson was appointed to help launch ‘Diversity’, a contemporary carpet collection consisting of 12 designs inspired by the company’s huge archive of classic 1950s and 1960s carpet designs.
The new, reworked range in contemporary colours transfers the company’s expertise in specialist, historic and interior designer markets to retail carpeting. Working with our sister company Whistle & Taylor Creative, we were employed to project-manage brand development and website design. We were also responsible for finding suitable locations for photoshoots, as well sourcing models and make-up artists. We also worked with a renowned Cotswold-based photographer to produce stylish installation images. These appeared in brochures, POS, website and pre-launch PR activity.
Robust Twitter and Facebook campaigns launched the new ‘Diversity’ brand, carpet collection and website. By showcasing the original archive designs beside the reworked collection in contemporary colours, we successfully communicated the company’s heritage through media including video, photography and written content. Our main aim was to connect with leading influences in the interiors market – people like Kelly Hoppen MBE.
We compiled a database of new contacts and distributed monthly newsletters, containing industry-relevant news, to generate interest and drive traffic to the website. And press releases were distributed to printed and online media. The result? Widespread local and national coverage and a very happy client.
